OT: saw an MG-TF today w/ top down... its in the 30s today!

Very nice example with historic plates. I guess that's why I don't own any British cars. I don't have the 'character' needed. I'll stick with my warm little tin tops.

Here is my '54 tf. They really are cool cars IMHO. The reason the guy had the top down is that there is more than enough heat coming thru the firewall to keep warm. :) Seriously, in the summer, my car is uncomfortable to drive on really hot days.

has a '63 MG, he got into MG's in the mid 70's, actually had an Austin Healy before a couple MG's.

I do find it somewhat amusing that an open-top car would get too hot in the summer. But often its the quirks that we love about our cars. I do have a soft spot for classic British roadsters and will probably have to have one at some point. Shouldn't be too hard now since my wife was oogling the MG TDs and Fs and Mid Ohio last year. :)
