$4,125.00!

Is that your car? It looks really good.

My opinion is that people looking for (or willing to pay the premium for) a round-tail tii want it more original. I.e. sans flares. If it was a carbed car priced 1/3 or so less I bet it would have gone.

Me, I like 'em.

I think you are right about the flare issue.

Both my cars are carbed. Never been extreamly attracted to

mech f. i.

It's got a late nose on a roundlight car, so either it was rusted and got replaced, which likely means more rust elsewhere, or it got smacked in the front. Rust bubbles around the flares don't help and it's located in Pennsylvania which is solidly in the rust belt. Taking all of that into consideration, the opening bid was probably too high and might have scared off some potential bidders. I'm not trying to rip on this car and I don't mean to suggest that it must be a rust bucket, I'm just stating the points that might keep someone from bidding. It might be a good one, but then again, it might not.

I have seen some of the absolutely nicest examples of classic cars in PA over most anyplace.....I object to that comment! ....now Ohio, Northern Indiana, Michigan, much of New York ...the true "rust belt"!!!

In gest of course.....

just because you own that elegant car with the tii alloys and italian turn signals doesn't mean you can turn up your nose at the likes of us rust-belters!!!

Has the snorkel on the clip's inner wall for a carbed car under

the hood. So, the nose has either been replaced or the tub is

not a Tii...Kev.

Only problem here is the fact that there are four national concours champion cars in the northern 'burbs of Chicago. Try to explain that.

The 'ole eyes aint what they used to be. Saw the black grills and assumed it was a later nose. BTW, since when are holes in the rockers considered "elegant"? Those aren't decorative ya know :)
