Just got back from the movie this afternoon. The square tail, deep blue (not an original color IMHO) with BMW hubcaps, in nice shape, gets saved from being hit at RR crossing by Hancock, a screw up super hero, who then drops it and causes major damage to the car. Hancock subsequently flies the car home for the driver and it gets several more passing scenes.

I'm yelling in the theater, "'02, '02!!" and my wife and son are sliding down in their seats. The car has a central role in the first three minutes of the movie; best '02 scenes I've seen in a first run movie in quite a while. BTW, we enjoyed the movie too, but then we are big fans of Will Smith.

Regards,

Roger

My riviera 02 disagrees with you, and says its the most awesome color that was ever painted upon a 2002! :)

and yes, IIRC, they had 2002AD make them several riviera 02s, which is the most awesomely beautiful 2002 color.

Check out "Riviera" on this BMW color chart. http://www.dagsites.com/2002colors.htm

Of course color is in the eye of the beholder.

That chart is quite bit off compared to the original riviera paint on my car and others.

Of course mine is faded a bit, but the Hancock riviera car is easily recognizable as riviera with a bit of a fresher paintjob.

It's often an argued color, but ya know it when you see it.
