Sorry, I was going to upload a diagram of the kickdown stop but it didn't work.

this is for the automatic trans cars, correct? If so, I may have one that you can have, just pay the shipping?

My experience with downshifting via the gas pedal is that the RPMs are too high and the resulting shift is made with a harsh jerk - not smooth at all.

Drop the shift lever from D to 2 and use the gas pedal to control the engine. Not as satisfying as a manual tranny but easier on the drivetrain if done correctly.

hey in that diagram....what is part 16? i think that's what's missing off my gas pedal which allows the foot pedal to slip slide all over the place.......NOT SAFE!

also, the gas pedal is a bit sticky.......any suggestions?
