Center Console Install

I finally picked up a decent center console, but it seems that some hardware is absent. I assume there is one screw which bolts the shifter console down to the tranny tunnel. But for the rear of the console, do I need these brackets?

That "L" bracket attaches the center console to the tab under the dash.

Thanks for that. So is it just the bracket that holds the whole thing in? It is all a bit vague in there and I'm trying to get it right.

The console is mainly secured by the 2 screws that go into a bracket at the gear stick end. That bracket is screwed onto the tunnel, so pleanty sturdy.

The L bracket at the top only stops side to side movement.

Is that the bracket that bridges the two side pieces and sits just beneath the shifter surround? Mine seems to be missing that.

Ummm yeah thats the one - see pic, area circled in green.

You could maybe ask around if anybody has a spare, or maybe a strip of thin sheet metal bent to shape - use the shiffter surround as a guide for distance between bends.
