Wheels look wierd!

My dear wife informed me (whilst following me) that something looked odd at the back of the '02.

Think she may have a point. Left wheel has more neg camber than the right, and it seems to toe in more.

Any thoughts?

Maybe one of the swing arms is bent? Squished bushing? One subframe mount up-side-down?

busted shock or mount?

Hi Andy,

I replaced the shocks this afternoon & did they need it too, but no difference.

My intention was to install springs & shocks, but rusted bolts, skinned knuckles & superheated temp got the better of me. I settled for shocks then a few cold beers in the pool. I'll fix it later!

I did get the 02's out for a dust off & photo shoot.

you have an issue with the left control arm, it bushings,

or it rusting and weak with a bend in it. Shocks do not control

alignment of the control arm. Spring, bushings, mountings do.

I would also look carefully @ the trailing arm on that side. It may be developing a crack, which, when it happened on my ' 75 a # of yrs. ago, caused the unusual camber similiar to what you're experiencing. I was thankful for the warning sign which saved me from having the trailing arm break under hard cornering, with probable disasterous results.

Also measure your ride height-

it looks like you're leaning a bit.

That'll give you more negative camber on one side...

hmmm, id be tempted to buy the 'damaged' trailing arm off of you.... add a couple welds to strengthen it.... and enjoy some negative camber!

Thanks for all the replies/thoughts.

I'm back to China tomorrow, so it's going to have to wait until my next return, when i'll take a good look at it.
