Hello all

My 1976 002 idler arm (one on the passenger side) is making a squeaky noise. I brought the car 3 weeks ago and the noise was there. I thought it was the upper struts bushing but it is not. I have replace three sets of bushing and they all squeak. I tried gear oil, white lithium spray still squeak. The bushing that I remove from my other sub frame did not squeak while they were installed on that sub frame. I do not understand why they would squeak on this sub frame. I am temped to buy new one’s from pelican and try them. Just want to see if anyone out there ran into the same problem.

Could it be the center link ball joint or the inner right tie rod end ball joint that's actually squeeking? Otherwise I'd check the idler bushing mounting tube on the subframe for out-of-roundness.
