Great post. Wish those pictures worked. I'm going to do this job sometime soon. Do you guys recommend buying a kit or buying the individual BMW pieces.

Rear subframe:

 

 two large nuts that connect the suspension to the body, support bars and the driveshaft.

 

Got these babies off, but the subframe seems hung up on those bolts. Should I just try prying it off them with a little encouragement? 

 

Everything else is disconnected, I think. ; (
