Why can't you use the carrier bracket from a Mk 4?

Thanks, just getting the parts now, and Mk 2 carrier brackets are hard to find..

The spacing is different from the surface where the bolts mount to the position of the caliper. The Mk4 carrier bracket is for use with a disk that has less offset from the hub face.

Hi friend!

Instead of using VW Golf caliper, carrier & disc, is it possible to use BMW E30 325 i rear disc caliper, carrier & disc?

Thanks in advance

I couldn't say, never tried that combination.... Sorry. I would searchfor information by using the search function. You may even find something you like better. Lee has some wonderful stuff.

Of course, post your trials and successes.

Thanks

Todd

Just a quick question

I need your confirmation on the parts that you mentioned:

1) VW Brake Calipers from MK4, 2000 to 2006 Golf (with lines) --> Front or Rear?

2) VW Carrier Brackets from MK2, 1985 to 1989 Golf or Jetta --> Front or Rear?

Thanks & regards,
