Turn signal switch/dimmer alternative?

Is there anything? No one seems to be selling them on ebay, new is $100. There has to be something else that will fit, any other BMW model years use anything similar?

and I'm sure someone on the board has one...they don't break very often, and parts cars abound. FYI you can't use one from a roundie as they control different functions (windshield wiper and/or washer, depending on year).

If yours is simply worn (i.e. the turn signal part won't stay in the on position, or it won't cancel) that can easily be remedied--drop me an e-mail with the symptoms and I'll try to help.

HI, I have a 1972 2002 with a column switch problem...I think.

I'm new to this stuff.

I had a fuel injector installed on my car and while it was in the shop they broke the turner switch and handle. So they fixed it. They got rid of the handle on the left and made (or used) the handle on the right as the turn signal. There was a hole on the left side of the steering column. A year later or so later and the headlights and turn signals don't work. They just stopped working one day as I was driving. I was told it's the column switch --you can see it through the hole. I might have poked it at some time. Any ideas? a new turner switch (column switch, turn signal switch) is $200. I don't think I need the whole thing either just the yellowish relay part...although I'm not sure...I need to learn a lot more about my car.
