engine and drivetrain engine years

i just got free engine and 2 tranny's that is complete minus the carb, valve cover, and dist, are there any numbers on there that i an look at to find out what year its from, it has an e12 head so i know that its later than like a 72,

The head will have a raised area that looks like a clock with the year in the midle and the bumps represent months. I think this head was made Febuary 75.

near the bellhousing where the hole to set the timing is. Use the usual VIN to manufacturing date resources to get the approx. age.
