Anyone have experience with ebay generic seatbelts?

I know its far from stock or even period-correct, but they seem like a cheap fix. Anyone?

Yes! I just got them from the same seller. My originals were dry and they did not want to retrac anymore. Bolted right in and for the price, I think I made a good choice. I was also looking at belts from www.seatbelts.com. I had asked them a question and never got a response. I went with the ones you linked to on Ebay. Took about a week to get them.

Please don't forget to post your feedback on the Forum if you buy some of those belts on eBay. I was weondering the same things as you were - if they are any good. My front belts are shot in my '75 2002.

My son has been wanting to drive the tii and the driver's side won't release. He has been getting after me about fixing it. I tried a few times & then just ordered a pair of these. I'm glad someone posted about them because I had concerns about fitment.

BTW Skip. I purchased a LSD and 5 speed for the tii. I should be bringing it your way shortly. What else do I need to buy? I know you said you have some of the things I need and can fabricate the platform.

hey skipsfcr or anyone else with this belt... can you tell me the length of the cable buckle?

I have come to realize that if it is too long or too short from stock (which I think is 18" or 19") you basically need two hands to buckle up.

I called up the company and they were clueless.

those with these installed... can you still buckle up with one hand?

let me know I need to get these soon!

Just got mine. They look good but I can't get the belts to unreel from their "rolled up" position. Cam lock won't let go. Any thoughts?
