This is my first post to this great board!

I'm doing some small repairs to my '72 tii and I need to find a supplier for the cable nut for the heater water control valve, you know, the little assembly that goes through the arm on the valve and allows you to open or close it from inside the cockpit.

thread (diameter and pitch) but I'm not absolutly certain. I know it isn't 6x1. Now the bolt is "special" as it has a hole drilled in it for the cable to pass thru. Not too hard to do yourself if you have a drill press or very steady hands.

So it's just a bolt, a nut and a washer?

Do you know the size of the bolt?

I'd would have thought that it was a two piece affair, something to keep it from binding...
