Vacuum manifold design opinions. Any aeronautics experts?

Alright so I am trying to build a small vacuum canister to collect the vacuum and add a fast idle selnoid to let in more air during warmup. Right now I have more four 3/16"s intake runners that are T'd together to get a reading.

So I am trying to figure out how big of a fast idle solenoid I need (essentially how much air do I need). My thought would be that 3/16"s would be enough air to let into the canister. I figure if I go to 1/4" or something it would only screw up the MAP reading and never all make it into the chamber anyway. Since only one piston is sucking air a time wouldnt that be enough? I am hardly an air flow expert and this doesnt seem to be a common sense question.

fwiw, look at all the idle solenoinds in the junkyard. The 'consensus' size seems to be in the 3/8"- 1/2" range, for everything from a 2L Sooby to a 5L ford V8.
