I broke my signal light lever!!!

I dont know what happened, either it was falling apart aleady and i didn't realize it, or I'm stronger than I think. I just pushed it down to signal right and the lever just snapped down. I opened up the section behind the steering wheel to see what I could do. It snapped right at the base of where the lever starts coming out. First thing that came into mind was "maybe some JB weld???" I dont know, any ideas?

is hollow and you can pin it with a properly sized nail with the head cut off--and some JB weld.

Be advised when seearching for a replacement that there are several different turn signal lever assys, depending on the year of your car....Roundies use two different ones--pre-mid '72 (no wiper switch incorporated) and the 72-73 lever that incorporates the wiper on/off switch. And I think the 72 and 73 switches use a different wiring setup.

74-76 turn signal levers are on the left side and are quite different from the roundies, as they incorporate the low/high beam switch.

cheers
