yeah-

if you can get to 'em,

remove the detent caps on the trans,

and then try to shift.

I bought a 5- speed that was 'jammed'-

somehow, the detent spring had jammed the ball,

and taking it apart and replacing the spring fixed it...

did it ever do this with the 4-speed ?

is it your clutch friction disc seized to the splines because of no, or inpropper spline lube on the clutch splines during a transplant ?

That would explain why the clutch is not releasing

or

do you have a hydraulics issue with the clutch master / slave ?

was thia after high temp - long duration driving period ?

is it 'better' when all is cold ?

cd, whay do you ask if this occurs after a long period of use? This sounds like a prob I just encountered with not being able to shift to the upper gears after prolonged use(R, 1, 3)....it comes and goes intermittantly...and only seems to happen when at a complete stop...do you have an idea of what's going on?
