This has been discussed. Basically the injection system was designed with the stock airbox in mind. Most say that their car runs better with the stock part.

Thanks Justin. I thought and felt that the original airbox works a lot better as well.

for most horse power, quiet motor, motor protected with excellent air filter

and air flow, use the original air cleaner as BMW designed.

and the pic that c.d. puts up is a tii motor ~without~ any airfilter. Classic.

Stock, you can have my aftermarket filter if you want it. To my eye, it looks wrong and draws too much hot air.

Collin- I love that strut bar. Unfortunately Steve K said he does not have it available for a Tii.

Kris- I agree with you. Aftermarket intake sucks. I aquired and installed a stock air box myself. Car runs much better. I hear it and feel it.
