-When changing only these hoses is it necessary to bleed the brakes/clutch?

-Why don't these hoses have clamps?

-

Is a bmw dealer the only place to buy this type of hose?

-thanks!

These hoses connect the reservior to the master cylinder, so they aren't under high pressure - hence clamps aren't needed. If you change the hoses, you will get air in the system - it won't cause problems until it gets into the barke or clutch master cylinders, but it needs to come out.

You'll need a pressure bleeder to do this correctly (and easily, BTW) - they're available from most of the 2002 vendors (Motive brand) for $40-50. Do a complete purge while you're at it - and every few years thereafter to keep your hydraulics in good shape.

You can get the hose from most 2002 vendors or the dealer

No clamps needed since its tight fit. After replacing hose and filling the resevoir the air in the lower tubes will likely flow up & up the hose into the resevoir. so you may not have to bleed it out.

I changed them just fine without ever bleeding it, and had no problems. I'm really picky about spongy brakes too.

I unbolted the reservoir and carefully tipped it in the right way to prevent any fluid from leaking, and changed one line at a time. Then I let gravity take its course, and it worked fine.

The stuff was like 7 or 8 bucks for 1 meter at the dealership I think... which is enough to do atleast 2 cars. If i still had my leftover, I'd send it to you, but I think I left it behind when I moved.
