i got the part number for the welting that goes between the flares and body but have a question. the part number makes it seem this welting is sold by the meter. 1 meter would not be enough to do any flare or front spoiler seamlessly. does the welting on a factory car have a seam mid-flare?

You are correct,there is no seam on the flares or spoiler.I would think if you order it,you tell them how many meters you need to do the whole cars and they charge you so much per meter.Could I get that part # as I might decide to replace mine.

im just worried this shit is going to come in in 3 foor sections. hopefully if i order 6 meters it will be one continuous piece. i guess ill see.

part number is 51 71 1 831 708. ill be the guinea pig and order it up to see how it comes. ill let you know

Thanks,I tried to find the part # on RealOemParts.com with no luck.I think you will get 6 meters in bulk and then cut it to the size you want.I hope I am not wrong.Ask whoever you order your parts from and maybe they can check into it.I will call my parts guy and give him the part # .He has been selling BMW parts for about 30 years,so he should know

Blunt, Insist on the continuous length. With enough returns they may learn! In the orange parts book it indicates an "X" = As needed. Continuous/bulk. Mobile tradition is not very strict with the old book lately. You may be lucky. I asked for the 126 welting and received 1m pcs. Good luck, let us know thanks!

I agree with Mobile Tradition not being up on what they are selling.When I ordered a {Full] hood insulation kit,it came with the correct left and right pieces.The center section is totally incorrect.If they would just give you 1 left and 2 rights this would be the correct pieces.You just have to turn the other right hand piece sideways.I had to purchase 2 seperate kits to get the pieces I needed I would hope at some point someone who can,will bring these errors in packing and shipping to there attention.They have the correct parts,bot don't package them correctly

They started doin it to some of us....when I paid almost 400.00ea for interior door panels to find out I had to buy the additional 60.00 aluminum trim that goes on top of each door panel, and ohhh the felt part for another 12.00...oh, and the retaining clips, whereas the NOS new old stock door panels had EVERYTHING.
