so i bought a parts car from arizona and only now noticed that the 13 digit vin does not match anything on the car. is there another spot where this assigned vin is stamped because it has no correlation with the seven digit number (no zeroes added to the front). ??? or did i just buy a pink slip and a stolen car?

..and I also do not own a BMW 2002.

The true VIN will be the 7 digit # that should be on the VIN Plate (passenger side front fender) and stamped (pass side near the windshield). If you still have the pad on top of the steering console, it should have a small stamped plate also.
