Thought I had heard everything when buying a car!

Our resident Craigslist junkie Gordon sent me a link to a local 2000 yesterday. I had tried 3 times over the last 20 years to buy this particular car. It never worked out. Now it is cheap and in tough shape, but has some parts I need. Anyways I called the seller and was negotiating the price of the car. He told me he already had an offer for $100 from monster trucks. I asked what he meant. He said that the guys who put on the monster truck shows crushing cars were scouring Craigslist looking for old classic cheap cars to crush. It seems the audiences love it to watch cool cars get squished. I said that is just wrong. I gave him his selling price to rescue the poor thing from such a fate. Thanks, Gordon! You cost me $200.00

Sorry about that David, but you saved it from a terrible death. At least other cars will now live on due its parts but it sucks in the way you had to rescue it.
