for my 40th birthday bash in New Orleans and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast last week! Tim got the entire waitstaff & patronage of the famous "Galatoire's" Restaurant to sing happy birthday. My face turned as red as the wine

Tim and my wife Lisa and I had a great time '02ing around the French Quarter... The '02s parked (illegally I might add) around the corner from St. Louis Cathedral

We just had to take the car ferry across the mighty Mississippi to Algiers for a great lunch and a photo op. Quick trip with a great view of the New Orleans skyline. It'll take some time but the city's going to come back strong.

We made out way on over to Mississippi for the 10th annual "Cruisin' the Coast" event. It featured over 5,000 registered participants mostly driving American iron...muscle cars & hotrods like this big block El Camino owned by Danny Wooldridge of NW Arkansas...brother of Mike Wooldridge, a well known '02er and true enthusiast

While we were sort of "out of our element" running alongside the muscle car crowd we got plenty of thumbs-up and answered questions from several " true enthusiasts" who knew / wanted to know what we were driving. This photo was taken at Ocean Springs, which was one of 5 show locations within about a 35 mile stretch of the now bridgeless U.S Hwy 90

More 2002 / vintage Euro car presence at "Cruisin" would be nice but I'll definitely go back regardless...cool cars are cool cars! Thanks Mike & Danny W. for suggesting the event to me and thanks again Tim for being a great host & friend! We had a great time!

Budweiser...It's not just for breakfast anymore.

Looks like a killer time. Hope to see the whole crew soon! Again, I can't make the fall True Friends drive......wish it weren't in October.....it's the busiest time of the year for band directors. Dig your suit bro!
