"technical" EFI throttle cable question

Can anyone tell me exactly where (measurement) they mounted their cable pivot point on the accelerator arm at the pedal box. I was thinking perhaps some engineer has calculated how far the cable should be connected from the pivot point. I figure I could work it out with trial and error, but I'm a *little* anal.

EDIT: I'm using a 318 TB.

Have you looked at what Zenon did? I don't like the idea of attaching the cable all the way down at the PB like that. I'll do mine up top by the booster and rig up something on the rod that goes up along the firewall. This way many things can be more adjustable and easier to access, troubleshoot, and repair. Also I get nervous because of road debris, salt, sand, etc...

linkage from either an e12 or MBZ, but decided against it for simplicity reasons, as well as less elements to go out of adjustment, or cause slack. The I'm using an old Volvo cable that is pretty adjustable for fine tuning. Hadn't thought about the road debris thing, but I haven't heard of anyone having problems... yet.

Yea, what happens with exposed cables is that they are exposed to moisture and then eventually swell and become rough in the housing. The last setup I had on my car with Webbers had the housing ending on a bracket mounted to the brake linkage pivot bolt and was exposed from there. The cable would last a good 6 months and then I'd have to replace it. I was using bicycle brake cables. One time I covered most of the exposed cable with silicone and that helped.

Gas pedel to throttle ratio enginering is a lot more complicated than you think. Hope you get it right.
