How do I remove my back seat?!?!?!?!

Man, I cannot seem to make any head-way getting my back seat out...the back rest or the seat portion! Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Lee

Lee,

There are two locking "tabs" that hold the bottom seat in place. Pull up hard on the bottom seat while pushing it back, too. Once removed you will see two curved pieces of steel that lock into the back of the vertical kick panel about one third in from either side.

Remove the bottom seat cushion.

Now, look under the vertical back seat portion and you will see two metal tabs with a phillips head screw through a hole in each one; again, about one third in from either side. Back the screws out and jiggle the seat upwards and out.

HTH,

Bob

ave a squarelight: these cars have two small screws that hold the seat cushion in place--they're kinda embedded in the carpeting on the vertical seat riser just below the seat cushion's leading edge. Roundie rear seat cushions are held in place only by friction per tilux's instruction.

cheers

If you could, what else is different between the roundie vs square back seats? my roundie back seat is in typically delapidated condition, and was thinking - can I jsut replace it with a later model's seat? the fronts are already recaros- so its not like its original anyway--
