I have a newly acquired 69' 2002 that was bought in germany and brought to AZ. back in 69. Does anyone know what was different on the euro cars? It has a mechanical dist. and behind the grill lights and slim turn signals. Anything else? will have pics soon

Should have licence plate lights in the rear bumper also. And the side marker lights/lenses were a U.S. madate but they may have been added upon arrival.

Someone else will chime in with more...

Cheers,

a USA car that had overseas delivery (tourist or military delivery in Europe) or a true Euro model. The two have lots of small differences.

All USA 2002s (unlike the early 1600s) have VINs that are unique--different from Euro VIN runs. Early USA 2002 VINs begin with 1660001 and run to 1680000 in mid 1971. If the VIN isn't in that run, it's a Euro car.
