What did I do wrong? I simply removed the screws from the housing then changed the gasket. I also marked the timing before removal. Car cranks but does not turn over. I'm bummed.

If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

Are all the wires conected to the coil in the right places?

Did you put the motor at TDC before you pulled the dizzy?

When you marked the dizzy, did you allow for the approx 30deg rotation of the shaft as the spline gears mesh?

If 'no' to one or more of these do the following in this order - 1. get the motor to TDC on #1 (pointer on pulley, Injection pump pulley notch, mark on flywheel or check valves). 2. pull dizzy cap, ensure rotor is pointing to the mark on the rim of the dizzy (its covered by the cap) if not rotate the dizzy untill it does (and that was you problem). 3. check leads from dizzy to coil. Good luck with it. Remember to time it with a light at 2400rpm. Beaner7102
