nope! i looked up the part group # and 61 is body electrical... engine fuel and electrical are #13 and 12, respectively. ive never seen anything like that, but the closest thing that looks anything like that (to me) is the brake light switch... (which that is not!)

head and the speedo cable (I noted the threaded ends in the pix), or are those spring loaded push buttons on either end? And where do the wires go? Can you read the wiring diagram on the housing? That might give us a clue as to where it goes.

Doesn't look like any 2002 stuff I've ever seen, but it might go to a 3.0S sedan or the like.

cheers

HMM! i thought they were buttons of some kind (a la brake switch), but an in-line speedo dealie makes sense, and those threads *DO* look like speedo cable threads... the part number comes up blank everywhere i look also,,, perhaps a motorcycle thing (maybe)??

Looks like an inline speedo counter.

If that is what it is, they are calibrated for every 3k or 5k or whatever miles. They are designed to turn on the check engine light in the dash whenever the specific mileage has been hit so that way you take your car to the dealer and give them more money to turn the light off.. Just another way for the dealer to get the car back into the shop. Most people will think something is wrong with their car and take it to the shop when the check engine light turns on.
