Visited my '02 in storage today...pics!

With it being summer and all I've not had much desire/time to work on or visit my '02. However I decided to pay a visit today and take some pics so I can put together a list and get rolling on the resto and performance mods! Wow it needs a good wash and vacuuming, among many other things. lol. I have plenty of hope though, and despite the fact that the lower left front end is smashed in, interior is trashed and the outside has two layers of crappy paint, the whole car is quite rust/rot free, I was very surprised when I went to buy it. My girlfriend is getting back from her studies in Florida next month, so it's gonna be "our" project. She made me promise I'd let her work on one of my projects with me. =)

very nice looking car. almost like mine was, only your's is better.

great VIN number. this car is worth saving for that number alone.

Funny thing is I didn't notice the cool VIN until a few days after buying the car! I'm not sure if we're going to keep the steering wheel...that really depends where the project goes. However, right now we're looking at building it for daily driving & mild autoX so there's a good chance we'll swap it for a momo or something. You'll be the first to know if it's for sale. Thank you for the compliment; I hope your car didn't have the big crunch in the front like mine does! Hopefully the good 'ol chain around a tree yank will pull it close to straight again. Pic looks worse than it is...

Napes, I suppose mentioning that my girlfriend is nearly pure French doesn't help much when she doesn't have any siblings? =P

I'm glad to hear your wife is really into the cars and willing to help out! I certainly know not to take that for granted. =)

Hmm, so I mention the French girlfriend and here everyone wants to help me! I oughta try that more often...

Lol, just kidding. I live in kearny mesa right now, car is actually an hour's drive away. Should be on the road and making trips down here regularly in a couple months though. I appreciate the kind offers, I'm sure I'll be in touch with you guys soon. =)

Thanks! I'll be returning from a trip to Denmark about the same time my girlfriend is getting back from Florida, so the bimmer should be visiting sunny San Diego soon thereafter. Best of luck with your '02s as well!!
