Did anyone attend Deutsches Motorfest today?

Tomorrow might be better. I drove up from Livermore today, checked out the cars for an hour and drove back home. I just hung out with RacingAli for a few minutes. I think that if he made it just one day with the swap meet, it would've been much busier with more attendence and cars. When I got there in the early afternoon, there were only about 25 cars.

by 10:30 or so there were a half dozen '02's, a NeuKlass 1800 TiSa, 3-4 E30/E36 M3's, a couple of late M5's, a new 6 series cabro, about a dozen 911's & a half dozen 356's, quite a few Benzes and air cooled VW's, etc. Probably as many or more cars in the parking lot than in the event - too bad a few of the those folks didn't bring their cars in

I just got back and there were probably about 30 cars there today. When I left at 12:00 there were only 2 BMW's, an 02 and a supercharged 540. Only 2 people showed up for the swap meet, I guess it was an ok turnout for a first time event.

So, was it more of a car show/swap meet and less of a group of guys with 22" wheels & butt-thumpin stereos doing burn outs up and down the street?

I had it on my calendar, but family and work came first.

I didn't make either day but I did struggle my 2002 down to the Eurofest monthly GTG.

There were probably 50-60 cars with some very interesting ones, the Damler roadster with the 2.4l hemi stood out in my mind.

Nice to meet some of the locals, Barry, Andy, Tom.

On the plus side I have my running issues fixed with the MS and won't look like a jackass next time with a stumbling non idleing car, runs like a top now.

I heard through the grapevine that is was mostly "newer" cars attending. I was expecting the same thing, 22 inch wheels, neon lights everywhere, and enough wattage in the car stereos to power Placerville itself.

Sounds like it was a good "oldie" turnout. Too bad I missed it.

What time did the Eurofest end? I stopped by after Deutsches, but no one was there.

Everyone was pretty much gone by 10:30. I had heard it was the same last month in Elk Grove.

If you plan on going next month, get there early ( 8am )

Gone by 10:30AM?

Damn morning people.

Couldn't be any British cars. It would take them from sun up till 1030 just to get 'em running.
