1600 head repair and full rebuild

Got word from the guy repairing my old head (original on the car). Weld up the crack no big deal but the rockers need replacing and the valve guides of course and the cam is shot. I ordered a new schrick 292 just like the worn out one. As allways I try to find the old reciept. Bought it in 1987 for $290 from"The Ultimate Source" Zarkowsky Ent. I'm sure they are no longer around. The cam provided great fun for well over 250,000 miles and may not have gone south if the coolant hadn't leaked into the crank case from the cracked head and made my oil lubrication a little suspect.

I wouldn't be rebuilding it but it is ported and polished by Hardy and Beck and fully modified to accept ph44's and the intake manifold for a 2 liter. These cars will run on and on with really good parts available why ever stop. Still having fun......
