Late model seat belts...

I have an early model (72) tii and I need to know if anybody has used the seat belts from the late in an early? I need to used to back and front seat belts and would like to get around drilling holes in my baby!!

I've got 'em. For the fronts, the newer reel has a locating pin that keeps the reel in position. The best way to use that is to carefully locate and drill that hole in the body. Carl Nelson and other '02 parts specialists can get you the belts.

all the little washers and spacers that go with the belts, and note how they are installed. And be sure the inertia reel is installed perfectly verical, or it'll lock up whenever you try to use it.

The rear retractable belts (lap only) use the same mount points as the old Klippan style, but the bottom seat cushions on the later cars have a relief cut the earlier ones lack, so you might have to "finesse" (gently cram?) the seat in a little. Oh, and the bolts are inch-size, not metric if you buy new.
