Faint chrome bumper pitting removal

Tried oooo steel wool with Meguiars metal restorer and it still won't go. any secrets?

pitting is where the chrome is bubbled away from the underlying metal and rust has eaten into the metal underneath....a professional plater is the only way to fix it

My bad. It's actually more like faint paint stain. I also tried a Dremel with polishing tip to no avail. The po had a bumper sticker that I removed and thet footprint looks great.

if you have stuff that normal cleaner won't remove, try lacquer thinner, if that doesn't remove it, put a bumper sticker over it and smile while driving down the freeway
