ITB's from Suzuki GSX or GSXR??

Someone posted that they were running an ITB setup from Suzuki motorcycles or something? Am I wrong because I searched the archives (only 8 pages) and didn't find anything...

I'm looking at a Jenvy ITB setup which is sweet... but pricey. If the motorcycle ITB's are an option and can be had for cheap it may be a better option.

I havn't updated the pics there in a while. Its time consuming and requires lots of patience and fabricating... so up to you. In the end, i'd say get a used cheap pair of TWM's, but then again making your own is rewarding!

Since posting this initial thread I've done quite a bit of research and have spoken to a few e30 M20 and e30 M10 guys who have gone the generic ITB route and I'm now a firm believer that unless you can fabricate like a mo-fo AND you're on a budget... Just get the good stuff. Everyone I spoke to said that in the end they spent about the same cost as buying an out of the box bolt on set.

Jenvey was reccomended to me by AnthonyK. He may have some photos of one of his race cars. These things aren't cheap but for good reason - these really are beautiful TB's.

Pete U talking about those that I posted the pic of or different, shorter ones? I'm still learning about the stack distance?? or something??

What's the ideal distance from the valve stem to the tip of the horn? Or is it the distance to the injector that's measured? Or is it both? the butterfly?

Obviously I've got some learnin to do!

made by DBILAS about the same price and better than TWM, injectors and ecu available too. available in bore sizes of 40-55mm in three lengths. go the website www.dbilas.com i am an authorized distributor.

Those ITBs aren't mine. They were sent to me by a board member.

I love that carbon air box. When are you gonna start mass-producing lee ;). Even that stainless steel box you had a while back was nice. I am thinking of just going with the standard TWM airbox.

I checked on the price of those, and I think they were around $700 for one! Thats why I ended up doing the GSXR route. I had acess to a waterjet to make me custom mounting flanges etc. In the end my ITB's probably will have cost me ~ $275 ... But then you start adding everything else up to make a fuel injected car and thats where it gets expensive!!!! Though I went with AN fittings and braided SS lines etc.
