Best place to buy trim?

I've got some dinged up trim on my driver's side door. Where's the best place to buy from in your experience? Or, as an alternative, does anyone in the bay area have some extra chrome trim for a door?

I bought a load of trim from Blunt on this board and he was easy to deal with and the prices were good.

FYI, BMW jacked the pricing on the chrome beltline trim in June 06, just sit down when you get quotes.

ditto for Blunt. I shopped around. If you want it to be new, you can wait for ebay to have some, which is practically never, or you can buy from Blunt. He has the best deal. I got my stuff from him also, and it was an excellent transaction. Just look up Blunt on here and email him!

if you're trying replace a damaged piece or 2 and want it to match the old trim in appearance post a request on the for sale forum...

BavAuto sells it by the piece but be aware it will be much brighter than that on your car now...for the entire set, email Blunt thru the forum for his current prices

if you are talking about rain gutter moulding i only sell that locally because it never makes it in good shape. by the time i build a suitable container to ship it in its as big as a buick. i might save you 20-30 bucks over the dealer but youll have mangled trim. its not worth it. but i have everything else for your shiny needs

I remember back when I did my car. Bought three sets from a place in Miami for my car and a couple of friends'. Had to have a huge wooden crate built and spent about $100 in air freight charges. Each set wound up costing us about $100 (this was in '92) when all was said and done.

Buy new trim after you have your own home with garage, car stops and goes well, and has new paint. I can help you get by til then.
