Watkins Glen 2007 dates revisited...

I was a little puzzled when, following Mac's post one of you guys pointed out that next September 10th is a Monday. A lady named Carol Pierce finally responded to my e-mail requesting a date for next year and it's the weekend of September 7-9, 2007. Anyhow, sorry if this is old info but I thought I'd share. See you there.

The folks at Roundel are starting to plan for this event too. It will be a good event for Mobile Tradition to roll out some fun/interesting stuff for us to see. Can't wait to find out what surprises they'll have for us all. I am planning on going up there too. We brought back a case of wine from the various vineyards along Seneca Lake during a recent trip to the area for a wedding. Stayed at a lovely 1850 farmhouse B&B not far from Cornell Univ. Saw a nice 57 Isetta 300 in Ithaca too.

We definately need more 2002's (any BMW, actually) at next year's Vintage Race. I went this year and there was a single 2002 racing, and I saw only one 2002 in the parking lot. The Porsche guys had a nice corral (they were the featured marque this year). The Genesee Valley Chapter will organize a BMW corral for next year, and as I find out info I will try and have them set aside a section for 2002s. We will need to get a head-count later to justify a special area for 2002s, so I'll poll the FAQ for participation when the corral becomes formalized. I am making up a mailing list of 2002 attendees, if you'd like to be inlcuded for future info please email me at idickersATrochester.rr.com.

yes. more 02's!! there was only three of us on the show field saturday, but with the 02 fest the same weekend, its understandable.
