engine and drivetrain New Bargain find

I don't want to gloat but have a look at this! I just bought it and it was cheap, cheap, cheap.

The whole engine and ancillaries for less than a kick in the nuts!! I can't wait to get it in the car.

Quick spec: alpina slide throttle fuel injection, New head with schrick everything and 50mm inlet valves. I don't know the rest but the previous owner said it rolling roaded at 185bhp@wheels!!!

Well, even if the block is shot the injection bits are worth the $$. what is it going in? Or are you just going to look at it? Thats probably what i'd end up doing.

That's a beauty find congratulations!!

Reminds me of the time that I bought a fairly nice 3.0 CS with triple sidedraft webers - alpina manifolrd/plenum - etc for $1500 because it wasn't running right. Took the Alpina Stuff/Webers off sold on ebay for almost as much money as I paid for the car. That paid for a more realistic carb setup for this otherwise stock CS - it ran like a champ thereafter.
