shorten bumper?

a buddy of mine just got a '75 - and wanted to know about the

bumpers and such. i think i have seen people mention on here that one can shorten the bumper to make it hug the body a bit more.

if this is correct - how is it done ? is it difficult ? any pics of the end result ?

front only or both ?
