alternative to the tii brake booster?

Is there another brake booster (maybe made by ATE) that is a decent alternative to the 650$ tii brake booster? I'm only concerned with the size of the diameter, not the amount of boost.

Blunt, what do they use in the e30 when you put in that 6?

i used a modified e21 booster. by modified i mean i had to shorten the rod a few inches. it is small enough to allow the s52 intake manifold to fit. i track it and ive never run out of boost. works great

Blunt, Could you see how it compares to the tii booster in diameter? I'm gonna need some room for an air box of some sort.

harv, i just took a look at the e21 booster and i estimate about 9.5 inches. but i gotta tell you its near impossible to get an accurate measurment on the car. its packed down in there and very difficult to get to. we really need to get a measurment of one off the car. joh=nnys got a bunch of them. im calling him now

edit, i just called jonny and he measured 9 inches .

i dont know if it makes any difference but he wasnt wearing pants at the time

Must be cold in Ct these days!

For some reason I think the tii booster is 7 inch but I could be wrong.

I'm thinking 9 is the same as the stock o2 booster.

I'm not wearing pants eather

6-3/4" is my best measure of the one I have on the shelf.

Why not the Tii booster? There must be more than mine for sale! Now, I really didn't say that, but the words are there.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

I have one now but I'm sure it's not good. It doesn't return quickly. I hooked up vacume from another car (no motor in mine yet) and there is boost but as I said the return is slow.

Jim, interested in selling me your's?
