32/36 linkage rod

On the 72, the linkage ord from the firewall to the carb has a pin which engages the slotted arm on the carb. The pin on my car is 3/4" long and it has pulled out of the throttle arm before. Anyone else ever see this. The motor mounts are new and solid. Suggestions? I guess I could cut it off, drill the rod and JB weld a new longer piece in, but don't want to if it is not necessary.

Fiddle with it, mine did that when I first got the car. I couldn't get any acceleration and that was the problem. It should fit back in place. Find a pic to use as a reference. good luck

There should also be a small set of holes on the throttle shaft that you put some safety wire in, that will keep it from popping off.
