Rear Disk Brake Parts

What year and which make are the parts from VW are used for the rear brakes

Is it the GTI, Passat ?

Which Rotors, hub, and caliper?

Finally, does the existing S.S. Lines for the 2002 work on them?

I am working on the brake system and I would like to complete it soon so I can drive!!

I appreciate it!!

They are Jetta rear calipers and rabbit non vented front rotors. You still have to make the mounting bracket and that might be the hardest part. Also you have to make a mounting sleve to use the e-brake cable.

I got mine from Ireland. However I don't think their kit is complete and requires some extra fab and I felt an extra set of braided brake lines. you can mount the caliper on the top of the swing arm but I thought it was kinda tight for a floating caliper. The kit mounts the caliper in the 6 o'clock position and you have to unbolt it and move it up to bleed it. That's why I got the extra brake lines.

Check out the kit from 2002part.com. It's similar to the Ireland kit, but the calipers are modified so that the bleed valve is on top where you can get to them and not have to move the caliper.

Jeff, I just bought this kit maybe a month and a half ago. Are the calipers moded to add a second bleeder and plug the original? I was looking at the caliper and it looks like there is an area to place the bleeder. Or, is it a different caliper all together?
