hey steve, thought I'd start a separate post to answer you..

the swap goes slooooooowly, my goal is to have it ready for the Alpine next year and back into the GGC autox's.

I've been negleting the whole thing for the past three months and I'm getting close to the one year anniversary of the roll-over...so my self-imposed vacation is over and I'll be hitting it with both feet starting this weekend.

I'm also curious see how your alternator issue pans out..

take care

Chris,

I am also going to attempt a few items this weekend, but owing the wife and son some time and being on call will be tough.

My car was fairly complete before the crash, but since we have cut into it, I am looking at all aspects of the car. The overlying rule is that it has to look correct. Bolt-on, bolt-off is OK, but I'd rather keep the vintage look with newer inners.

If you need time to get to your car, just remind Carol about the Mini on the Alpine.

yeah, she'll always remember the Alpine in the mini.

I just finished driving a uhaul small van from SLO to Hamilton, Ontario two weeks ago, and I have to say, I was more exhausted driving the mini for a couple of hundred miles a day than I was driving 600 odd miles per day for seven days in a truck.

Anyways, with the tii swap in progress it'll be a good time to freshing up and tighten the front end, along with other little things. And with some of the recent motor rebuild posts on the board, I may be tackle the engine while its out.

take care

Chris C.
