i think andy's cab will be worth 100k within ten years... matt's (#@!$*&@^%*#@$%$!#METICULOUS but understated resto will fetch NICE price in that same timeframe. not a tii, either. tii owners should INVEST in their cars, even iffy ones. get em up to nice/tight status with new rubber and paint... they are soon going to be WORTH such investments/upgrades, so you might as well get in there while the gettin's good!! just one man's opinion...

Being sold by Michael Izor, who owned what was possibly the largest collection of BMW models and memorabilia in the world. His model car collection was in the thousands, but he has been selling all of it on Ebay for the last year or so.

There was an article (on the Roundel, I believe) several years ago about his collection. His house was for all intents and purposes a museum, with interesting BMW stuff displayed on all the rooms.

The reason he gave me for selling off his collection was that he recently got married and was selling the house to buy a new one. Looks like the new missus is not a BMW fan......

I have bought from him a few items at very reasonable prices. He always has interesting and unique stuff for sale.

HEHE.. well, it was *late* last night, but i think we've all seen the prices (of actual 02s) shooting upwards lately.... a trend sure to continue...

It seems like the number of 02s still in existence has fallen sharply since the late 90s when many predicted there were still 10,000 or so on the road in the U.S. Scarcity will ultimately drive the price up. The nicer cars are keepers at the moment. The beaters/average condition cars will not see nearly as much if any increase (percentage or dollar-wise).
