Help with spring selection

My 73 Tii currently has H&R springs and 14x6 Panasports with 185/60/14 tires. I just did a test fit with my new wheels this morning. Alpinas 13x6 front, 13x6.5 rear with 185/60/13 all around. The fronts fit just fine (with a small spacer to clear my E12 calipers) but the rears are rubbing. This is not a complete surprise since my Panasports are tucked under the rear fenders with only a fingers worth of space.

So, my question is, anyone have a recommendation for springs, something closer to stock height but stiff since I want to take the car to the track.

Thanks

The 13's are not tucked like my 14's are, but they are 1/2" wider and the inside lip of the fender is nailing the sidewall of the tire about 2" down when I'm driving. How much can I get out of rolling? I like the idea of this in conjunction with your idea for the springs.

you might get 1/2 inch by rolling. mine are rolled now but i forget how far that lip protrudes inward. have a look under there and see. i bet its 5/8" and once rolled would translate into about a 1/2 '". youre going to be dissapointed running anything softer than h&R's on the track i think.

id try rolling first and if that doesnt work add the thinnest spring pad you can to avoid a rake. on my e30 i need to run spring pads in rear with my street tires and just 1/2 inch spring pad changes the whole feel of the car. the back end feels less planted as i think it changes the weight transfer because of the way the ass end is a bit higher. it may be imagined too but my car feels way better with no spring pads at all
