Drove the 02 to another town, about 20 minute drive away. Megasquirt is working fine, however.. car's voltage was very slowly starting to decline. I suspected the old alternator to be going.

I arrived at my buddies place, and proceed to modify the 90 amp alternator

off my old E28. Cutting and some grinding, and then some shimming and my voltage woes are gone! :)

next time i'll probably do the e21 alternator swap, easier.
