Reasons car doesn't like to hold idle?

It never stalls. Sometimes it will hold it just fine, but usually the idle will begin to drop as I come to a stop and will end up bouncing off the 0 mark. The car is barely on when this happens, but it has never shut off. Any ideas? I thought it could be some sort of a vacuum leak.

Let your car warm up & press the brakes at a stop. Look for the idle to change. Sometimes the brake booster hose fittings & hose itself wear out. Other vacuum leaks can come from anywhere. Intake gaskets, carb, manifold, etc. Look there first.

Also what dizzy are you running? Vacuum advance? Is your vacuum line hooked up correctly? Often you can mess up your idle if you have your vacuum advance line run incorrectly. Check both for starters...
