If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

no crank...means starter

check ground connections...tight?

check battery to stater wire

check to make sure powered wire from ignition is connected to the selonoid, also that it is getting power when the key is in "start" position

still nothing after that and you have power to the starter...both from the batterey and from the switch. Then Pull the starter and have it checked.

btw...pulling the starter is pretty quick and easy.

Does this mean removing the cables from the Battery before I remove the starter. My trunk is still not open due to lock issues

If the battery is in the trunk...yes

Do you have a junction block in the engine compartment?

Or if you still want to take it out...just pull the power connection from the starter...and make sure you do not ground it out. I would then tape over it or wrap it with something non conductive for some sort of safty
