Need help with proper jet sizes and tuning for my side drafts. I just upgraded from a Weber 32/36 and now car runs like crap. Not sure if I have the wrong jets or if it is getting too much gas and stumbles on acceleration. Have a pretty much stock engine but have the Crane electronic ignition. Do I need a larger exhaust to accomodate the bigger carbs? Need some help here....thanks.

Couldn't let your post go with out just one reply.

No, you don't need a larger exhaust. Properly tuned, 40 carbs can be made to run very smoothly on a stock motor. If you start changing lots of things around, you will never have a good point to start from. If the car was running fine with the Weber, then just try to get the 40's set up. Change one thing at a time.

Maybe check around with some of the Alfa crowd to see if they can diagnose your problems.
