they are relatively cheap at sears but get a decent one and buy it once

got mine at autozone or advance auto...i can't remember which. it's not let me down yet after 2 slave cylinder swaps.

They have type w/replaceable tips, kinda handy cause the tips can break, plus different size tips. They also have type to remove inner or outer circlip, not sure how else to describe it, but the difference would be to expand the circlip when you clench the tool or to compress it. Like the difference between the slave circlip & the one that holds your shift lever in. That type has a second hinge in the lever that you push a button & it flips over to the other handle, to convert to inner or outer operation.

Problem solved....I went to Sears and paid $12.95 for a tool i'll spend ten seconds using in my lifetime........I should'a bought sixer of nice brew and a box of bandaids and spent all afternoon trying to get that old metal coat hanger to work....I still had to by the brews...
