tii brake booster rebuild?

I'm sure it can...there isn't much inside of it other than a spring and a big diaphram made of metal...not much to break but I'm sure it could wear, epecially if it was a city car with alot of stop and go traffic. I'd say it would probably be cheaper to find a used one. I have one up on eBay if you should need one...search seller jeremybd.

Carl, at La Jolla Independent rebuilds them and they sell for about $400.00. There used to be a place here in Rochester that rebuilt them but they closed up probably 10-15 years ago. I found this out when I had the booster in my 1969 2000 replaced a couple of years ago, the diaphragm went in the original booster. It's the only booster I've replaced ( the 1969 2000 ), out of 8 2002's and 3 NK's. I was told the bad booster is put into a vice and separated and then rebuilt.

I think I just got water in it when I was cleaning it brfore I painted it. Any idea how to get water out of it?

On the old FAQ, there was a company that was rebuilding boosters up in the PNW, Portland I think. As I recall, they were not always sucessful in the rebuild.

I meant to say the boosters are put in a press and then separated, not a vice.
