Please tell where these go............

I am having linkage problems and saw these for sale. Nice cheap, why not? I get them and look under the car and can't seem to find these parts anywhere near the trany -linkage area. (72 4spd)

Does anyone have a hint to where these parts may go?

They go where the linkage support bolts to the top of the tranny. May be hard to see from under the car.

They mount the shifter platform to the transmission.

it's what holds that black shifter plate thingie to the transmission.

How would i get to them? I have a Haynes, can't find it.

I wouldn't bother with replacing them unless you're sure they're bad....

I had a wobbly shifter, and figured those were the problem, and bought them.... and figured out its a royal pain to change them, and when I got them out they were perfectly fine. In the process, I found the real problem was the complete lack of bushings in the elbow joint part of the shifter.

You're just gonna have to get under the car and find them right at the end of that shifter plate. I'd see if you can wiggle the shifter plate around without moving the transmission. If so, they're prolly bad. If you move the whole transmission when you wiggle it, then they're fine.

they are #11 in the diagram.... the #10 bolt goes into back of trans
